Hey everyone, my name is Eloy, and I will be your deputy president in HSC for SHASMUN XIII, and I am really excited to see you all! I am a junior in SHSID, and it is my third year of doing MUN.
During my 3 years of competing, chairing, and coaching, I learned numerous aspects of being a competitive delegate, and my goal for SHASMUN is to make each and every single delegate become one of the most competitive delegates in the world.
Diplomacy, critical thinking, global perspective, and discipline all of these matter in MUN, but I would most likely prioritize one thing: passion.
Finally, I want to emphasize one thing. Winning is important, of course, but, in MUN, what matters the most is the memory you build throughout the conference: the memory of hard work and the memory of enjoyment. These are what I actually look forward to in this year’s SHASMUN.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, and I’m really excited to see you all!
Good Luck!
