Hey delegates!
My name is Ryan and I am currently a junior at SCLS, and it is with pleasure that I get to be Pres for GA for SHASMUN this year. I’ve been doing MUN since 8th grade and participated in 15+ conferences in that time.
I will be focusing on the topic of “Addressing Hybrid Threats: Countering Disinformation, Cyber-Attacks, and Economic Coercion”. The consistent increase in Hybrid Threats facing the world over the past 3 decades have created dangers that require nuanced perspective and careful navigation in decision making to address. Delegates will have to look at balancing economic and resource requirements while preserving sovereignty. I am looking forward to seeing how delegates will properly tackle this issue of non-conventional/non-traditional threats that are constantly evolving, while keeping their countries out of war.

Greetings, delegates! My name is Chloe, a senior at Shanghai American School Puxi, and I am honored to serve as your Deputy President for General Assembly at SHASMUN XIII. This year's SHASMUN will mark my 12th MUN conference, including both delegating and chairing experiences.
I will be focusing on the topic of “Addressing worldwide HIV/AIDS outbreaks,” a pressing global public health issue. As populations become increasingly mobile and health systems face mounting strain, the persistent spread of HIV/AIDS across diverse socioeconomic contexts continues to raise serious concerns, particularly in underserved communities. Access to quality healthcare, comprehensive prevention education, and the widespread availability of antiretroviral therapy are essential to combating this epidemic. Strengthening international collaboration and sustaining global support for these efforts are crucial to reducing transmission rates, improving health outcomes, and promoting long-term global health development. I look forward to hearing insightful perspectives and comprehensive solutions that highlight the complexities of these issues, along with fruitful debates.
I look forward to meeting you all in February, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
